Day One- Saturday March 7th
Wheelchair Curling- Mixed Doubles- Ahead of the Opening Ceremony, action in the Curling Arena began on Wednesday and the GB duo opened with a 10-8 loss to Estonia before an epic 14-3 humbling by Korea.
They claimed their first win in a narrow 6-5 victory over Latvia before a 5-4 win over United States. The Mixed Team began on Day One was a 9-2 loss to Slovakia in the morning and 6-5 win against United States in the evening. The Mixed Doubles eased to an 11-2 victory over Japan in the afternoon.
Para Alpine Skiing- Women's Downhill Visually Impaired was won by Veronika Aigner (Guide- Lilly Sammer (AUT) ahead of Chiara Mazzel (Guide- Nicola Cotti Cottini) (ITA) and Alexandra Rexova (Guide- Sophia Polak (SVK). The Women's Downhill Standing saw Ebba Aarsjoe (SWE) finish ahead of Aurelie Richard (FRA) and Varvara Voronchikhina (RUS). The Women's Downhill Sitting was won by Anna-Lena Forster (GER) ahead of Audrey Seco Pascual (ESP) and Sitong Liu (CHN).
The Men's Downhill Visually Impaired saw Johannes Aigner (Guide- Nico Haberl) (AUT) cross ahead of Kalle Ericsson (Guide-Sierra Smith) (CAN) and Giacomo Bertagnolli (Guide- Andrea Ravelli) (ITA) while GB's Neil Simpson (Guide- Andrew Simpson) and Fred Warburton (Guide-James Hannan) placed fourth and seventh. The Men's Downhill Standing was won by Robin Cuche (SUI) as he finished ahead of Arthur Bauchet (FRA) and Aleksei Bugaev (RUS). The Men's Downhill Sitting saw Jesper Pedersen (NOR) cross ahead of Niels De Langen (NED) and Kurt Oatway (CAN).
Para Biathlon Women's Sprint Sitting featured a USA 1-2 as Oksana Masters finished ahead of Kendall Gretsch with Anja Wicker (GER) rounding off the medals. The Men's Sprint Sitting saw Taras Rad (UKR) cross ahead of Mengtao Liu (CHN) and Zixu Liu (CHN) while GB's Scott Meenagh placed 23rd. The Women's Sprint Standing saw Oleksandra Kononova (UKR) win ahead of Natalie Wilkie (CAN) and Liudmyla Liashenko (UKR).
A China 1-2 in the Men's Sprint Standing as Jiayun Cai crossed ahead of Xiaobin Liu while Marco Maier (GER) rounded off the medals. The Women's Sprint Visual Impaired was won by Yue Wang (CHN) (Guide- Cuorning Chen) ahead of Carina Edlingerova (CZE) (Guide- Alexandr Patava and Leonie Maria Walter (GER) (Guide- Christian Krasman) . A CLEAN SWEEP for Ukraine in the Men's Sprint Vision Impaired as Oleksandr Kazik (Guide- Serhii Kuchariavyi) crossed ahead of Iaroslav Reshetynskyi (Guide- Dmytro Drahun) and Anatoii Kovalevskyi (Guide- Oleksandr Mukshyn)..
