Day 9 - Sunday February 15th
Snowboard Mixed Team Snowboard Cross- A Super Sunday for GB saw their first ever Gold on snow as Charlotte Bankes/ Huw Nightingale won the Big Final ahead of Italy (Michela Moioli/ Lorenzo Sommariva) and France (Lea Casta/ Loan Bozzolo).
A truly historic day for GB increased later in the evening in the Skeleton Mixed Team as Matt Weston/Tabitha Stoecker set a combined TRACK RECORD of 1:59.36 as they made it the first ever multiple Gold success in a single day for GB and also the first ever trio of Golds in a single Winter Games. Their teammates Freya Tarbit/Marcus Wyatt (1:59.65) finished fourth behind Germany's Susanne Kreher/Axel Jungk (1:59.53) and Jacqueline Pfeifer/ Christopher Grotheer (1:59.54).
Curling - Men's - The GB quartet continued their push for the semi finals with a comfortable 9-4 win over Germany before losing 6-5 to Switzerland in the evening while the Women lost out 10-7 to Sweden.
Biathlon Men's 12.5km Pursuit saw Martin Ponsiluoma (SWE) (31:11.9) ease to victory ahead of Sturla Holm Laegreid (NOR) (31:32.5) while Emilien Jacquelin (FRA) (31:41.6) finished 29.7s off the lead. The Women's 10km Pursuit was won by Liza Vittozzi (ITA) (30:11.8) ahead of Maren Kirkeeide (NOR) (30:40.6) while Suvi Minkkinen (FIN) (30:46.1) finished 34.3s off the lead.
Freestyle Skiing Men's Dual Moguls was won by Mikael Kingsbury (CAN) ahead of Ikuma Horishima (JPN) while Matt Graham (AUS) defeated Takuya Shimakawa (JPN).
Cross-Country Skiing Men's 4x7.5km Relay saw Norway (1:04:24.5) win ahead of France (1:04:46.7) and Italy (1:05:12.4).
Alpine Skiing Women's Giant Slalom was won by Federica Brignone (ITA) (2:13.50) ahead of Sara Hector (SWE) (2:14.12) while Thea Louise St Jernesund (NOR) (2:14.12) finished 0.62s off the lead.
Speed Skating Women's 500m saw a Netherlands 1-2 as Femke Kok set an OLYMPIC RECORD time of 36.49 outpacing teammate Jutta Leerdam (37.15) while Miho Takagi (JPN) (37.27) rounded off the medals and GB's Ellia Smeding (38.93) finished 25th.
Ski Jumping Women's Large Hill Individual featured a Norway 1-2 as Anna Odine Stroem (284.8) outleaped teammate Eirin Maria Kvandal (282.7) while Nika Prevc (CZE) (271.5) rounded off the medals.
