The Women's All-Around saw GOLD won by Sunisa Lee (USA) ahead of Rebeca Andrade (BRA) who scooped SILVER and Angelina Melnikova (ROC) who collected BRONZE. GB's Jessica and Jennifer Gadirova finished 10th and 13th.The Women's Canoe saw GOLD for Jessica Fox (AUS) as she finished ahead of GB's Mallory Franklin who secured SILVER while Andrea Herzog (GER) collected BRONZE. The Women's Foil Team GOLD went to ROC as they won 45-34 against France who took SILVER. BRONZE went to Italy as they defeated USA 45-23.
The Men's -100kg saw joy for the hosts as Aaron Wolf (JPN) took GOLD ahead of Guham Cho (KOR) who scooped SILVER while BRONZES went to Nilaz Iliasov (ROC) and Jorge Fonseca (POR) as they defeated Varlam Liparteliani (GEO) and Shady Elnahas (CAN.
In the Women's -78kg, more joy for the hosts with GOLD for Shorl Hamada (JPN) as she defeated Madeleine Malonga (FRA) who scooped SILVER. BRONZES went to Mayra Aguiar (BRA) and Anna-Maria Wagner (GER) as they defeated Hyunji Yoon (KOR) and Kaliemma Antomarchi (CUB).
The Men's Pair saw GOLD won by Valent and Martin Sinkovic (CRO) ahead of Mariius Cozmiuc/Ciprian Tudosa (ROU) who scooped SILVER while BRONZE went to Frederic Vystavel/Joachim Sutton (DEN).
In the Women's Pair, New Zealand (Grace Prendergast/Kerri Gowler) crossed the line for GOLD ahead of Vasilisa Stepanova/Elena Oriabinskaia (ROC) who secured SILVER while BRONZE went to Canada (Calleigh Filmer/Hillary Janssens.) The GB duo of Helen Glover and Polly Swann finished in fourth.
An historic GOLD for Ireland (Paul O'Donovan/Fintan McCarthy) in the Lightweight Men's Double Sculls as they finished ahead of Germany (Johnathan Rommelmann/Jason Osborne) who scooped SILVER and Italy (Stefano Oppo/Pietro Ruta) who collected BRONZE.
In the Lightweight Women's Double Sculls, GOLD for Italy (Valentina Rodini/Federica Cesarini) as they finished ahead of France (Laura Tarantola/Claire Bove) who took SILVER while a photo finish saw Netherlands (Marieke Keijser/Itse Paulis) claim BRONZE by 0.01 ahead of GB pairing Imogen Grant and Emily Craig.
The Women's Trap saw an Olympic Record for Zuzana Rehak Stefecekova (SVK) as she won GOLD with 43. Kayle Browning (USA) took SILVER with 43 ahead of Alessandra Perilli (SMR) who collected BRONZE with 29.
The Men's Trap saw a joint Olympic Record of 43 for Czech duo Jiri Liptak and David Kostelecky with Liptak winning GOLD after a Shoot-Off with Kostelecky claiming SILVER ahead of GB's Matthew John Coward Holley who collected BRONZE.
The Men's 800m Freestyle saw GOLD won by Robert Finke (USA) ahead of Gregorio Paltrineri (ITA) who took SILVER and Mykhailo Romanchuk (UKR) who collected BRONZE.
The Men's 200m Breaststroke saw GOLD won by Izaac Stubblety-Cook (AUS) with an Olympic Record time of 2:06.38 ahead of Arno Kamminga (NED) who took SILVER and Matti Mattsson (FIN) who collected BRONZE. GB's James Wilby finished in sixth.
In the Women's 200m Butterfly, GOLD for Yufei Zhang (CHN) with an Olympic Record time of 2:03.86 ahead of Regan Smith (USA) who took SILVER and Hali Flickinger (USA) who collected BRONZE. GB's Alys Thomas finished in seventh.
The Men's 100m Freestyle GOLD was won by Caeleb Dressel (USA) with an Olympic Record time of 47.02 ahead of Kyle Chalmers (AUS) who took SILVER and Kliment Kolesnikov (ROC) who collected BRONZE.
The Women's Singles saw double joy for China as Meng Chen won GOLD with a 4-2 win over Yingsha Sun. BRONZE went to Mima Ito (JPN) after a 4-1 win over Mengyu Yu (SGP).
Team GB News
The Women lost out 1-0 to fierce rivals Netherlands while the Men drew 2-2.
The Women won their opener with a 14-12 win over ROC before losing 26-21 to New Zealand.
